Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

- Survey Corps vehicle
Third Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic abilities: Naoe introduces a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.

This marks scarcely the initial time the Assassin's Creed franchise has collaborated with famous anime properties. The series formerly included a 2020 collaborative story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
