Vinted Shoppers Voice Anger About Sizing Changes
Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The popular resale platform has revised its size classifications for female and kids' apparel failing to inform all users about the change.
Online Platforms Backlash
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online claiming that product pages now present a different size category versus the original listing due to the recalibration.
The company said the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
They have suggested members to check their listings and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, which has left users frustrated.
Sizing System Changes
Earlier, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
A different member, based in Glasgow, explained products she uploaded on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she explained.
Manual Updates
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Marketplace Information
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has become a favored option to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion where an unanticipated change to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options after backlash from users.
